The Olivetti Pluma 22 is a lightweight and portable mechanical typewriter, renowned for its sleek and functional design. Originally introduced in 1949, it was designed by Marcello Nizzoli, an icon of Italian industrial design. In 1959, its sibling model, the Lettera 22, was celebrated as the best design product of the previous 100 years by the Illinois Institute of Technology.
