8 steps, with the details only when you need them
Open each step to see what happens next.
1. Reserve the rental
Start by reserving the rental here: Vintage & Antique Typewriter Rental Services. Standard rental starts at a minimum of 3 days for €105. A 21% VAT charge applies when the EU client is not registered in VIES; eligible EU B2B clients registered in VIES are invoiced at 0% VAT. A standard reservation advance is €50 and is non-refundable. The reservation starts the process, but the exact machine, transport and final conditions are confirmed with you in the quotation.
2. We plan the project with you
We choose the typewriter that best fits your budget and the real use of the project. We confirm the date, city and country, number of machines, expected use, preferred style or keyboard, and any support or accessories you need.
3. We prepare the estimate and conditions
You receive the project estimate before the final payment. It confirms the selected machine or machines, rental period, delivery and return transport, refundable security deposit, rental price, VAT, support and any special project conditions.
4. Full payment before the project
The full rental amount and the refundable security deposit are paid in advance, normally at least one week before the project. A shorter deadline is possible only when we confirm it with you in writing.
5. We prepare, test and send the typewriter
We prepare and test the typewriter in our workshop, pack it for transport and coordinate the shipment or collection with you. A standard rental includes one 30-minute online help session if you need assistance using the machine.
6. Return it in the same packaging
After the event or project, take clear photos of the typewriter and the way it is packed, then return it using the same protective packaging in which you received it. Follow the return instructions agreed for your booking.
7. How the rental days are counted
The day you receive the typewriter is the first rental day. The day the return courier collects it from you is the final rental day. If the agreed period is extended, additional rental charges can apply according to the booking conditions.
8. Inspection and deposit refund
When the typewriter returns to our workshop, we inspect it. If the rental period and return conditions were respected, we refund the security deposit according to the conditions confirmed with you in Step 3. Any agreed deduction is explained before the refund is completed.
Four things to remember
Choose the Role First, Then the Machine
A wedding guestbook, live poet, film close-up and shop display need different typewriters. This guide helps you brief us properly before reserving.
Reliability, layout, typing comfort and logistics often matter more.
Seven questions to answer
- What is the exact date and complete location?
- Will the machine be actively used or displayed only?
- How many guests, writers, filming locations or stations are involved?
- Do you need a particular decade, colour, brand or keyboard?
- Will the machine be indoors, outdoors or moved during the project?
- Will you collect in Fuengirola or need delivery and return transport?
- Do you need a poet, setup, paper, signage, technician or branded stationery?

Practical rules
Can guests use the machine?
Yes, when the selected model and setup are suitable. Use a stable table, clear instructions and keep food and drinks away.
Can it be used outdoors?
Only in a dry, covered and supervised position. Rain, coastal humidity, sand, heat and direct sun can damage the mechanism and finish.
Is delivery included?
No. Delivery and return are quoted according to location, quantity, timing and machine value.
Can I request a specific model?
Yes. Confirmation depends on availability, condition, value, intended use and logistics.
What about VAT and invoices?
EU invoicing is available. VAT treatment depends on the client, location and nature of the service and will be shown clearly on the quotation and invoice.
