Rental & Production Conditions
These draft conditions organise the practical side of standard rentals, larger productions, creative collaborators and international projects. Final project terms are confirmed in writing with the quotation.
Price, deposit, logistics, responsibility and return should all be visible in the project agreement.
Standard booking framework
Reservation advance
A €50 non-refundable reservation advance is used for standard bookings. The quotation states how the advance is applied to that booking. Larger commercial productions can use a different initial payment structure.
Security deposit
A refundable security deposit is calculated according to machine value, quantity and project risk. It is released after the returned equipment is inspected, less any agreed deductions where applicable.
Balance payment
The quotation states the payment deadline. Machines are not handed over or shipped until the required payment stage has been completed.
Damage and handling
The renter is responsible for the equipment during the agreed rental period and must follow the handling, environment and supervision requirements stated in the quotation.
Late returns
Additional rental charges can apply when equipment is returned after the agreed period.
Delivery and collection
Transport is quoted separately unless the written quotation says otherwise. Delivery timings are estimates and should include a sensible buffer before important events or shoots.
Outdoor use
Outdoor placement must be dry, covered and supervised. Rain, humidity, sand, direct sun and excessive heat can damage typewriters.
Artists and photographers
Creative collaborators are subject to their availability, travel requirements and separate project terms. A typewriter reservation does not automatically reserve an artist.
Technician and support
Remote support, on-site support and technician travel are separate services unless included in the quotation.
VAT and invoicing
EU invoicing is available. VAT treatment depends on the client, location and nature of the service and is stated on the quotation and invoice.
International projects
Customs, import requirements, insurance, courier restrictions and return logistics are assessed case by case.
