The Hispano Olivetti Studio 46, often referred to as Studio 42, is a beautifully restored semi-portable vintage typewriter. This iconic model draws inspiration from the German "Bauhaus School" design philosophy, known for its clean lines and functionality. Designed by the renowned artist Alexander "Xanti" Schawinsky in 1934, this typewriter became famous for its minimalist aesthetics and reliable performance. It was used by Thor Heyerdahl, the Norwegian explorer and anthropologist.

I just received my order and it was well worth the wait. With the pandemic going on, there was a longer wait than usual for my order to process and ship. I ordered at the end of June and it was delivered this afternoon. At first, I was very anxious but after chatting with Ania and Jacek they assured me it would be on its way soon .
The photo doesn't do this typewriter justice. I can't wait to finally use it! The love and care that goes into the restoration is really something you don't see often anymore.
