About:
The platen knobs on Hermes typewriters were originally crafted from a hard plastic composite. Over time, this material becomes brittle due to natural ageing, which is common for plastics used in the 1960s. If you need a replacement knob that is both stronger and colour-matched to your typewriter, you’re in the right place. They are easy to install and do not require any special tools.

Important: The typewriter and metal components (shaft and screws) are not included

Specifications:
This replacement knob is 3D-printed and painted (if needed for the green Hermeses) to match the classic seafoam green of Hermes typewriters. The design replicates the original knob while offering superior durability. Unlike the old plastic version, this knob won’t become brittle over time, ensuring a lifetime of use.
